About PCS
Practical sustainability, community education, and local resilience.
Piedmont Center for Sustainability is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting sustainability education, community programs, and practical local action in Southside Virginia and the surrounding region.
PCS began with a vision for hands-on sustainability education and demonstration. Today, that work continues through community partnerships, practical projects, public education, fundraising events, and organizational support for people who want healthier, more resilient local systems.

How the work is sustained
PCS is supported through donations, volunteers, community relationships, and fundraising events. Selected fundraising events are produced and managed by contracted event professionals, including FBE Consulting and Event Planning.
