About Piedmont Center for Sustainability
Piedmont Center for Sustainability was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of North Carolina in January of 2014, but the idea for the Center has been in the minds of its founders for years. When we first heard about Camp Douglas Long being on the market, we started to develop a plan to create the Center as a non-profit organization that would demonstrate sustainable living for the people of Greensboro and surrounding areas. The goal is to be have different sustainability methods demonstrated in large and small ways so that individuals and families can choose which sustainable practices are best for their own lives, and learn more about them. Members of the Center would teach by example. We would "be the change" we wish to see in the world by living out a lifestyle that supports the continued health of our planet.
